Helen Smith and Sister Lodge are qualified supplementary prescribers. This means prescriptions for certain items can be signed by the nurse without consulting a doctor but also, if a combined plan has been formulated between doctor and nurse, she can continue with this and sign prescriptions for agreed other drugs.

newpills1.jpgYou are allowed to have certain treatments on repeat prescription without seeing the doctor. There are various options available to order prescriptions. You may

  • call in person to order your prescription
  • post in your request
  • use one of the local pharmacies"" order and collection service whereby you telephone them to arrange a prescription order.
  • follow the link to the secure online form below

Repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection after 48 WORKING HOURS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE REQUEST.  If received after lunch collection should be after lunch 48 hours later.  If the Pharmacy collect your prescriptions you need to allow 72 WORKING HOURS). This does not include the weekend or bank holidays so please remember if you order on a Friday before a bank holiday your request will not be ready for collection until the following Wednesday (collection Tuesday if it is a normal weekend).

If you wish us to post back your prescriptions, please let us have a stamped addressed envelope and mention this when requesting the prescription.

Please order in time but remember:

  • Only order drugs you require
  • Do not stockpile drugs
  • Please let us know if you are no longer taking a particular medication
  • If orderingearly (for example going on holiday) would you please mention this - otherwise we may not issue the prescription

If you have decided against taking certain drugs please let us know. The doctors would prefer to know exactly what medication you are taking to ensure treatment is efficient. It is better they know!

If ordering over the Web Site and you wish to continually use the same Pharmacy for collection of your prescriptions, we can identify this.  You need to sign consent form, indicating that if you change the Pharmacy of your choice you will notify us.

We have set up a system whereby your prescription will be handed over to the collection service automatically, when you are signed up to this new system.

DISPENSING

Dispensing has decreased over the last few years with the opening of pharmacies in Brinsley and Awsworth. We are limited to patients in outlying Underwood and Watnall/ Moorgreen areas. Upon registration you will be notified if you could have prescriptions dispensed by ourselves, or not.
