Out of Hours
If you need advice, our lines are automatically transferred to NHS DIRECT (via 24 hour surgery lines 01773 712065 or 01773 530820) you can also access by telephoning 0845 4647). If their trained nurses cannot help your immediate problem you will be transferred to Nottingham Emergency Medical Service who will deal with your query using doctor’s advice, treatment at the primary care centre or, if necessary, a visit will be arranged. If none of these options is suitable you may be asked to seek advice at the hospital.
NHS DIRECT 0845 4647 is a 24 hour service where you can obtain general advice on minor medical conditions.
NOTTINGHAM WALK-IN CENTRE
A new nurse-led service is available in Nottingham at:
The Island Site (next to the BBC),
London Road,
Nottingham
NE2 4UU.
Anyone can access this service as it means literally “walking in” any time between 8.00am and 9.00pm seven days a week, 365 days a year.
